■ Bolt-Specific Technical Specifications
| Material |
Inconel 601 (Nickel-Chromium-Iron-Aluminum Solid-Solution Alloy) |
| Manufacturing Standards |
- ASTM F2281 (Type III, Class A) - High Temp Nickel Alloy Bolts
- ASTM B166 / ASME SB166 (Raw Bar/Wire Stock)
- ASTM B564 / ASME SB564 (Heavy Forgings)
|
| Mechanical Properties (Ambient) |
- Tensile Strength (Min): 550 MPa (80,000 psi)
- Yield Strength 0.2% Offset (Min): 205 MPa (30,000 psi)
- Elongation (Min): 30%
|
| Thermal & Oxidation Limits |
Maintains extreme resistance to oxidation and spalling up to 1250°C (2282°F) due to the addition of aluminum, which forms a highly tenacious chromia (Cr2O3) and alumina (Al2O3) bi-layer scale. |
| Installation & Galling Mitigation |
Extreme risk of cold-welding (galling) due to bare metal yielding. Dry assembly is strictly prohibited. High-temperature graphite, Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2), or high-solids silver-based anti-seize must be utilized. Reduce installation velocity and use calibrated manual torque wrenches. |
