| Important Metallurgical Consideration |
While Inconel 600 flat washers resist oxidation up to 2000°F (1095°C), the alloy suffers from severe stress relaxation (creep) when used as a dynamic spring above 700°F (370°C). For Belleville or spring washers operating continuously above 700°F, substitution with Inconel X-750 (UNS N07750) is strictly recommended to maintain spring temper. |
