■ Nut-Specific Technical Specifications
| Material Advantage |
Inconel 601 (UNS N06601). The precise addition of 1.0% to 1.7% aluminum creates a spall-resistant bi-layer oxide scale, preventing the delicate internal thread profiles from being consumed by cyclic oxidation up to 1250°C (2282°F). |
| ASTM F2281 Classifications |
Type III, Class A (High Temperature, Nickel Alloy Grades). Mandatory face markings verify heat treatment:
- F3A (Condition A): Standard annealed.
- F3B (Condition CWA): Cold-formed and re-annealed.
- F3C (Condition HWA): Hot-formed and re-annealed.
|
| Installation & Galling Prevention |
High risk of thread galling (cold welding) due to base alloy ductility. Dry installation is strictly prohibited. A generous application of specialized, high-temperature anti-seize compound is mandatory to reduce the K-Factor and prevent fusion of the nut and bolt matrices. |
