What's Inside This Titanium Grade 11 MTC Certificate

This sample mill test certificate mirrors the rigorous QA documentation package standard for Titanium Grade 11 fasteners. Structurally identical to Grade 1, Grade 11 is enhanced with a small, precise addition of Palladium (Pd), providing dramatically improved corrosion resistance in reducing acidic environments.

  • Full Traceability: Certified with TC No.: S74/26-XX and corresponding ASTM B348 specifications for CP Titanium alloy rod and bar.
  • Palladium-Enhanced Purity: Detailed breakdowns verifying the addition of Palladium (0.12% - 0.25%). This precious metal addition provides the "Grade 7" level of corrosion resistance to the Grade 1 material, rendering it nearly immune to crevice corrosion in harsh chemical processes.
  • Ductility & Formability: Explicit verification that the base Titanium is at the high-purity Grade 1 level, ensuring the fasteners retain the superior cold-forming and ductility characteristics required for complex head designs.
  • Mechanical Properties (Annealed): Comprehensive reporting of Tensile Strength (310.50 MPa), Yield Strength (240.20 MPa), Elongation (30.50%), and Hardness (120 HB), reflecting the soft, ductile nature of the material.
  • Quality Compliance: 100% visual inspection carried out and verified free from defects and radioactive contamination.

Technical FAQs — Titanium Grade 11 MTC Certificate

How does Grade 11 compare to Grade 7?

Titanium Grade 11 and Grade 7 are essentially the same material (Commercially Pure Titanium + Palladium). The only difference is the base material: Grade 11 is built on the Grade 1 base (highest ductility/softest), while Grade 7 is built on the Grade 2 base (balanced strength/ductility). Grade 11 is chosen when the most extreme formability is needed alongside superior corrosion resistance.

Why add Palladium to Grade 1 Titanium?

Titanium Grade 1 is naturally highly corrosion-resistant but can be susceptible to crevice corrosion in hot, acidic, or reducing environments. Adding Palladium (0.12% - 0.25%) dramatically enhances the corrosion resistance, making the fastener suitable for use in extreme chemical processing environments that would otherwise cause standard CP titanium to fail.

Are the materials free from radioactive contamination?

Yes, the document strictly states that the material is free from radioactive contamination and undergoes a 100% visual inspection to ensure it is free from defects.
