Duplex 2304 (UNS S32304) is classified as a "lean" duplex stainless steel because it contains very little Molybdenum (0.05 - 0.60%) and lower Nickel levels compared to standard duplex grades like 2205. The MTC chemistry confirms this cost-effective composition, which still provides high yield strength and excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (far superior to 304L/316L).
