Ananka Fasteners is a premier global manufacturer and supplier of ASTM A193 Grade B8 Class 1 Fasteners. Manufactured from premium AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel, these fasteners are explicitly engineered for high-temperature, high-pressure service applications, most notably within pressure vessels, valves, flanges, and critical petrochemical fittings.
To meet the rigorous A193 specification, Class 1 fasteners are strictly carbide solution treated (fully annealed). This controlled thermal processing ensures maximum ductility, uniform grain structure, and exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion, making them the definitive choice for structural integrity in elevated temperature environments. All our B8 studs, heavy hex bolts, and threaded rods are backed by EN 10204 Type 3.1 Material Test Certificates (MTC).
For principal engineers, metallurgists, and procurement officers requiring the granular, proprietary technical specifications, manufacturing tolerances, and full load-bearing yield curves of ASTM A193 B8 industrial fasteners, the complete technical datasheet must be accessed.
Contains empirical data for stress simulations, international regulatory compliance audits, and advanced torque-tension charts. Corporate/engineering credentials required.
⬇ ACCESS SECURE DATASHEET PORTALIn safety-critical sectors such as offshore petrochemical extraction, nuclear power generation, and aerospace engineering, a fastener is completely worthless if its metallurgical integrity cannot be legally and empirically proven. The document that guarantees this integrity is the Mill Test Certificate (MTC). The global gold standard for MTCs is defined by the European standard EN 10204 3.1. A fully integrated MTC for an A193 B8 Class 1 fastener acts as the component's metallurgical DNA, including:

The most critical engineering distinction when specifying ASTM A193 B8 is selecting between Class 1 and Class 2. Class 1 is fully annealed, providing supreme ductility and maximum corrosion resistance, but at a relatively low yield strength (30 ksi). It is highly resilient against stress-corrosion cracking at elevated temperatures.
Conversely, Class 2 is strain-hardened (cold-worked) to drastically elevate yield strength (up to 100 ksi), allowing for much higher clamping forces. However, this strain-hardening introduces internal stresses and slightly reduces high-temperature corrosion resistance. Engineers must carefully calculate whether their flange joint requires the high torque loads of Class 2, or the thermal stability and ductility of Class 1.
To support high-pressure containment infrastructure, ASTM A193 B8 Class 1 is predominantly manufactured into specialized geometries designed for heavy-duty torque application and flange sealing.
| Fastener Category | Standard and Specialty Types Available | Primary Engineering Function |
|---|---|---|
| High-Pressure Studs | Fully Threaded Stud Bolts, Double-End Studs, Tap End Studs. | The industry standard for mating ASME B16.5 pipe flanges; allows precise tensioning from both ends. |
| Heavy Industrial Bolts | Heavy Hex Bolts, Hex Cap Screws, Socket Head Cap Screws. | Heavy hex provides a broader load-bearing footprint under the head, crucial for high-pressure sealing. |
| Industrial Nuts (A194) | Heavy Hex Nuts, Jam Nuts, Coupling Nuts. | Strictly matched with ASTM A194 Grade 8 heavy hex nuts to prevent thread stripping under load. |
