Our MTC certificates map to the demanding industrial standards for structural foundation fasteners. The test reports confirm compliance with As Per ASTM F1554 Grade 55 EDT. 2023 with respect to the tests carried out.
| Standard / Requirement | Confirmation on Certificate |
|---|---|
| Visual Inspection | 100% visual inspection carried out & found free from defects. |
| Safety Requirements | Material is free from radioactive contamination. |
| Weldability (S1) | Carbon Equivalent (CE) meets Supplementary Requirement S1. |
| Dimensional Accuracy | All Dimensions are as per PO Specification. |
We confirm that above mentioned Items was Manufactured, Sampled, Tested and Inspected in accordance with the subjected Customer's Purchase Order and as applicable Drawings, Material Specifications, Codes & Standards and the results of the items have been determined to meet the users' requirements.
The "55" represents the minimum yield strength requirement of the anchor bolt in thousands of pounds per square inch (ksi). As verified on the MTC, these bolts are guaranteed to withstand at least 55,000 psi (380 MPa) of yield stress, providing a significant structural upgrade over standard Grade 36 bolts.
Supplementary Requirement S1 guarantees weldability. To meet this, the chemistry section of the MTC must calculate and report a Carbon Equivalent (CE) of less than or equal to 0.45%. By meeting S1, engineers are assured these anchor bolts can be safely welded to rebar grids or embedment plates on the job site without risking brittle failure in the heat-affected zone.
Yes. Grade 55 bolts are routinely hot-dip galvanized for corrosion protection. Unlike Grade 105 bolts which require severe caution regarding hydrogen embrittlement due to high hardness, Grade 55's moderate strength and chemistry make it an excellent, safe candidate for the galvanizing process.
